A Richmond Neighborhood Story

Living in Oak Park

One of Richmond's most distinctive neighborhoods, where timeless architecture, mature trees, front porches, and walkable streets create a place that feels both beautiful and deeply connected.

A different kind of neighborhood

Designed Around People

Many neighborhoods are built around roads and lots.

Oak Park feels different.

Inspired by traditional neighborhood design, Oak Park was intentionally planned to encourage walking, front-porch living, and connection between neighbors. Homes sit comfortably within a landscape of mature trees, sidewalks wind throughout the community, and parks and gathering spaces are woven into everyday life.

Rather than feeling like a subdivision, Oak Park feels like a neighborhood that has grown naturally over time.

The result is a community that feels welcoming, established, and remarkably human in scale.

Architecture that endures

A Neighborhood Built with Character

One of the first things visitors notice about Oak Park is its architecture.

Instead of repeating the same home design over and over, the neighborhood features thoughtfully crafted homes inspired by classic American architecture, including Craftsman, Cottage, Colonial Revival, and Southern traditional styles.

Front porches, natural materials, architectural details, and mature landscaping create a streetscape that feels curated rather than manufactured.

Every walk through the neighborhood reveals something new to appreciate.

A personal note

Why We Chose Oak Park

When we first discovered Oak Park, we knew immediately that it was special.

At the time, we were looking for more than just a house. We were looking for a neighborhood that felt connected, walkable, and beautiful. A place where architecture mattered. A place where people still spent time on their front porches. A place that felt established rather than newly built.

Oak Park checked every box.

We loved the mature trees, the sidewalks, the parks, and the way every home seemed to have its own personality. We loved that evening walks quickly became part of our daily routine. We loved seeing neighbors outside, children riding bikes, and families gathering in the parks.

What surprised us most was how much we enjoyed simply being here.

Some neighborhoods are places you return to at the end of the day. Oak Park is a neighborhood that encourages you to slow down, spend more time outside, and enjoy where you live.

Over the years, some of our favorite memories have come from ordinary moments: morning coffee on the front porch, walks beneath the oak trees, conversations with neighbors, and quiet evenings on the screened porch.

Those experiences are what made us fall in love with Oak Park, and they are what we hope future residents will enjoy as well.

Shared parks & green spaces

Room to Roam, Right Outside the Door

Oak Park was planned around shared green space. Tree-canopied roundabouts, landscaped commons, and an expansive community park give the neighborhood its open, breathable rhythm — places to walk the dog, toss a ball, or simply sit beneath a tree on a warm afternoon.
